Mounts Bay provides superb coastal birding opportunities with excellent chances to observe winter sea ducks, divers, and grebes. The bay’s sheltered waters attract a variety of seabirds throughout the year.

Best Viewing Locations
The bay can be viewed from multiple points along the coast road between Penzance and Marazion. Morning sessions typically offer the best viewing conditions with good light and calmer seas.

Winter months (November-March) are prime time for divers and sea ducks. Migration periods (spring and autumn) can bring additional species.
